It’s one thing to be proud of your country and its accomplishments.
I’m very proud to be an American, (most of the time).
But this American Exceptionalism that President Obama is accused of not putting on display on the national stage when traveling abroad is really counterproductive to good International Relations, which is an absolutely necessary characteristic for a Global Leader.
The position of President of the United States of America definitely qualifies as a Global Leader Position.
This “Holier Than Thou”, “Police of the World”, “Can Do No Wrong”, “GOD’s Chosen People”, only creates the same kind of hostile environment like the one created by the previous Administration.
These verbal and other kinds of attacks on other citizens of the world, (for no other reason except for the fact that we are America, and can do whatever we want to whomever we want), is exactly the type of attitude that led to the fact that we had very few people, (except Great Britain), who wanted to work with us on anything during President Bush’s 2 terms.
This attitude did not make us superior, it does not make us smart and it does not make us safe; and may have been the fuel that fed the hatred that led to the attacks on 911.
And instead of trying to build on the repairs to America’s image around the world that begin with the successful, (and legal), election of President Obama In 2008; many of the hate filled supremacists in this country continue to move backwards on everything, except for the things that only benefit them.
Case in point: Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney has always, (since day one), falsely accused President Obama of not understanding and practicing “American Exceptionalism” nationally and internationally.
However, since day one, President Obama has said, that his story could not be possible in any other country in the world except here in America.
This fact is what makes Mitt Romney’s statements absolute lies.
As a matter of fact, if you follow Mitt Romney from campaign stop to campaign stop, you will discover with due diligence that this man is a compulsive, psychopathic liar, who wants to be president for the wrong reasons at any and all costs.
The President should be driven by love and respect of people in addition to being powerful and forceful when necessary.
President Obama is fully aware of the greatness of this nation and its potential for producing successful individuals who work hard, sacrifice and play by the rules, which is what he did that led him to be the most powerful man in the world.
What President Obama refuses to do, is to do what Mitt Romney did on his first stop of his “American Diplomat Tour”.
He managed to insult several top British Officials, (Including the Queen), by implying that Great Britain; (the only country in the world that has hosted The Olympics 3 times throughout history), was not prepared to host the 2012 Summer Olympics.
This caused national outrage, even from countries other than Great Britain.
Because once again, a representative of this country has pissed off the rest of the world by implying that no one other than Americans are capable of doing anything of significant value.
This “American Exceptionalism”, a phrase that is overused by the Rightwing, White, Hate Driven Media, is just a euphemism for Racism, Discrimination, Hatred and Ignorance of the fact that GOD Created All Men Equal across the entire planet-not just in 50 states.
President Obama is a product of America’s greatness.
However, he does not dehumanize, degrade, insult, or underestimate anyone-even those who have attacked him because of Racial Hatred that began even before the man was sworn in and given a chance to reverse the severe damage that it took 8 years to create.
Now even though Mitt Romney’s first trip to establish him as a world leader was designed to make him appear to be “Presidential” to the uninformed-it is clear to me and others that he is clearly not “Presidential Material”.
This is just not based on the near International Incident that he created in London this week, because everyone human makes mistakes and falls short of perfection, even President Obama who readily accepts and admits his humanness as well as respecting the humanness of others.
Even though there are many circumstances in play in this country and around the world that no human being can control, (including the President), no matter what color skin he is in; President Obama has proven to those who are not looking at him through the eyes of hatred, that he is indeed Presidential and worthy of the dignity, respect and support that presidents have traditionally been given in this country, rather you agree with them or not.
Anyone with a pulse can see that this has not been the case with “This President” over the past 3-1/2 years.
Mitt Romney has run for president 6 times and has not been able to convince America that he is qualified to be President of the United States of America.
Mitt Romney has not, because he is not.
I hope that all who hear my voice will consider this fact come November 6, 2012.
