Amelia Boynton Robinson-A Civil Rights Icon Dies At 104 Years Old

Amelia Boynton Robinson

Her sacrifices, (including being beaten within inches of death on Bloody Sunday), is the reason why we are here.

It was her sacrifices and those of thousands of others from all walks of life, who made life possible and bearable for Black People, Woman and other so called "Inferior Beings" in America.

And these sacrifices must not be taken lightly or in vain.

This is a fight that we cannot fool ourselves into believing is over.

For every human being who is trying to be free, their are thousands of others who are constantly trying to take away that freedom.

So the struggle continues from generation to generation.

MSNBC Is Leaning Right Instead Of Leaning Forward

When I first heard that Comcast had got its hands on NBC, (being somewhat aware of the Politics of the leadership of Comcast), I began to worry about changes to the network, (especially MSNBC),that would force this network to the Right; and it is beginning to look as if my fears are being validated.

Recently I read an article that said MSNBC is removing their slogan "Lean Forward" and replacing it with a logo that says in all caps LIVE, MSNBC.

Prior to this change, which seems to indicate to the world that MSNBC does not want to promote Progressive Politics any more, I watched as Karen Finny's show, "Disrupt" cancelled, a few weeks after it had started.

Next to be cut was Ronnan Farrows's show and Joy Reid's show, which were both cancelled on the same day.

And, about 3 weeks ago, I watched MSNBC as they cancelled 3 Progressive Political Shows all on the same day: Alex Wagner, "Now With", "The Cycle" and "The Ed Show"

Now I am wondering if Al Sharpton, "Politics Nation", Chris Matthews, "Hardball", Chris Hayes, "All In", Rachel Maddow, "The Rachel Maddow Show", Lawrence O'Donnell, "The Last Word", Steve Kornacki "Up With" and Melisa Harris-Perry, "The Melisa Harris Perry Show"are all in danger now?

These show are all rich in Liberal Political Commentary.

So I certainly hope not.

A few weeks ago when Laurence O'Donnell called Joe Scarborough a lie, because he was lying; stating facts that were not true to try and destroy the agreement between the U.S. and other nations with Iran, a chill ran up and down my spine, and I was really quite surprised that "The Last Word" was on the air that night.

Of course O'Donnell apologized on his own free will as he stated, but I don't believe that. Because I have seen far too many times when one of the commentators has told the truth about the Right Wing Hate Machine and they were forced to apologize for telling the truth.

Its like they are trying to protect everything Right, while not defending the people on the left who they are supposed to be on the air for.

I understand that MSNBC is a business that has to compete with CNN and FOX News; but I am just wondering if the only way to compete with them is to change the entire station from a Progressive Politics Information Resource into a FOX News Hybrid.

Morning Joe's rating have also been in the pits for quite some time, but you do not hear any talk, or detect any actions on the part or station ownership to take his show off.

That's why I say it may be business, but their seems to be an attempt to make a major shift to the Right. So it seems to be ideology too. And the sign that this is true will be when you continue to see the Progressive Commentators disappear from MSNBC, while the Peripheral Vision-less Right Wing Congressman continues with his show in spite of his poor ratings.

Another factor for MSNBC's poor ratings is the fact that they eat their own. When one of their own says something negative that is very true about the Right Wing Hate Machine in America, they suspend or fire them, while they allow FOX News and other Right Wing Media Outlets to Bash our Progressive Viewpoints without any retaliation from the FOX News Organization or from MSNBC.

To "True Leftists, Progressives and Liberals", this is unacceptable behavior from a Media Outlet that is supposed to support and protect Progressive Views.

So even the people who they are supposed to represent are getting sick and tired of them attacking their own.

It happened to keith Olbermann, (at Morning Joe's urging), Martin Bashir, for speaking the truth about Sarah Palin , Ed Schultz for speaking the truth about every damn thing, and others, and apparently there's more to come.

So to all who know the Disastrous Effects that losing this Progressive Media Outlet will have on the Progressive Movement in America; (both Average American Citizens and those who are Rich and Powerful who share Progressive Beliefs and Values). Can we please get together and start planning on either saving MSNBC or replacing it with an outlet that truly represents the Progressive Movement in America? Because, Mr. Griffin, we don't need another FOX News. And to lose one of the Strongest Progressive Television Resources in the country would spell disaster for the Progressive Movement in America, (which is just what Hate Filled Conservatives want).

I hope that Mr. Griffin will Brain Storm with the brilliant minds that he has access to at MSNBC; to figure something else out to boost ratings, and make this station number one without turning MSNBC into FOX News Lite or CNN.

If he doesn't, that will be Proof Positive that they are Right Wing Supporters in disguise who are trying to destroy the Progressive Movement in America.

We need to plan together for what appears to be inevitable.

(As I have said on previous occasions),to them his name is "This President", because they cannot even stand to mention his name; because they HATE him and cannot refer to him, (in public), the way that they really want to, because society has evolved beyond that public display of hate, especially in our Government.

But if I could only be a fly on the wall.

Let's get real America, especially Black Folks.

And those of us who are Democrats, Liberals, Progressives and Pure Left Wing Socialist, (Ala, Bernie Sanders), are united in seeing that this does not happen. And we have been quite effective at doing so over the past 6 + years.

Which is partly why, (even in the face of such Unprecedented Racism, Hatred and Greed towards an American President), President Obama was still able to pull this country up out of one of the worst recessions created by the Bush Administration previously, since the Great Depression.

Now Imagine where we could be, if the Racist Members of Congress would have just allowed the Jobs Creation Bill that has been sitting on President Obama's Desk for the past 3 years to be put to a vote.

This leads those of us on The Left to ponder the following question:

Have they treated him like The President of the United States of America, or have they treated him like a Nigger?

Those of us who are not afraid of being honest, (both Black and White), know that the answer is the latter.

In the past, this"Vote For Person Philosophy" used to work, but now since everyone in each of the Major Parties are on one accord with each other, (especially the Republican Party), whose main agenda has and continues to be to destroy "This President's" Legacy, and to Write him either out of the history books, or to write him into the history books as the Worst and Most Dangerous Enemy of America to ever occupy the White house; we need to also make sure that neither of these thing happen either.

If you need proof of this, remember the crowd's reaction at the one point in the Republican Debate when Donald Trump held up his hand to signify that if he was the Republican Nominee, he would not run as an Independent against the Republican Party. However, if he was not, then he would not commit to removing himself from the race and supporting the Republican Nominee.

He threatened to run as an Independent.

Or how about all the deafening cheers of the Conservative Crowd that broke out when Rand Paul reminded Chris Christie of his hug of the President while he was in New Jersey after Hurricane Sandy?

There is no such thing as a "Perfect President", because their is no such thing as a "Perfect Human"; (although we saw so many of them during The First Republican Presidential Debates), (both of them).

However, many of these same people were, and still are willing to overlook the damage inflicted on this country under President George W. Bush, including ignoring intelligence that warned of an attack by air, a war that wounded thousands, killed thousands and broke the bank, being classified as a War Criminal by so many other countries, that American Diplomacy became very difficult if not impossible.

The fact of the matter is the World is not Perfect.

And if the world is not perfect, you will never have a Perfect President in the White house unless you were one of the Republicans on stage at one of the first 2 Republican Debates.

It's not Perfection that matters when it comes to Presidents or any other Human Being-Its Intentions of the Heart that matter and a Honest and True Love for People in this country and also those around the world.

Part of President Obama's Legacy was his willingness and ability to do just that.

One more thing that is important to note about this and other Presidential Debates, is that the person who Over Promises things as if there are absolutely no other people involved in those decisions and that there are no Multiple Scenarios that could occur that are beyond any human being's control while they are in office, is a Damned Liar, and should not be trusted at the Helm of this Gigantic Ship Known as The United States of America, because they have already lied to you.

So Democrats: Please pay attention and follow the Republican's Lead.

Choose to stand behind the candidate that has the best chance of Keeping a Republican out of the White house and vote for them; rather they were your Candidate of Choice or not; based on what the party has done in the past for you and those who are important to you.

Anyone who is Vaguely Familiar with our Modern Political System already knows what the Republican Party stands for and how they will govern if elected.

Please! We have got to keep them out of the White house, and anywhere else they can destroy things like "Voting Rights", which they have and continue to do.

This is a historical event for America and Cuba, and a move in the right direction to maintain Peace and Economic Strength throughout the world.

in spite of all the controversy of so many Conservatives in America and Cuba over the Obama Administration's efforts, along with the Pope and Rau1 Castro and so many others to reestablish U.S. Relations with Cuba; it is important to remind these people of the fact that we do not live in a perfect world without risks

But I have never known that to stop America from entering into anything including many wars, (some that were absolutely unnecessary like Iraq), until now.

Once again! This is a Historical Event that will add another Major Foreign Policy Accomplishment to President Obama's Legacy, and that is just something that the Right-wing Conservative Hate Movement in America cannot stomach, coming from a Black Man.

To Sabotage Peace, Growth and Prosperity throughout the world just to demonize a president because of the color of his skin, is Pure Racism and Hate.

Of course, no one can predict the future, and no one can tell if any particular Major Foreign Policy, (like the deal with Iran),will lead to the intended goal.

However, since when has the prospect of future failure of a project been an excuse to not start a project at all?

This has been a major theme of Conservatives since November 4, 2008.

Making decisions based on Hate will never, ever do this country or any country or the people of those countries any good.

And not attempting to do something that may have lasting benefits after calculating the risk, (which is what has been done before any of these decisions have been made, (including the Iran Nuclear Deal), is just not Logical or Productive.

I wish the people of Cuba in Cuba and in America, a Bright, Peaceful and Democratic Future, staring with the Historical coming together of 2 countries that have not been together in over 54 years.

You've been sharing the Truth and Debunking Political Lies on the Daily Show for 16 years now, and every chance I got to watch you at your regular showtime or record you, or catch your clips on the weekday and weekend news shows, not only did you make me laugh, but you also taught me something about the ridiculous and stupid things that people in this country accept as normal.

You have shed light on so many of these things for 16 years and for that I just want to say thanks.

And whatever you decide to do after tonight's last show, (which Ironically), is on the same night as the First Republican Presidential Debate of the 2016 political season-I wish you much continued success and love in your life with your family and the American People.

You are indeed a True American Patriot who has proved time and time again, that True Patriots don't lie to hide the truth about America's Weaknesses, Failures and Past Sins.

If you are Not Rich, Powerful, Well Connected, Don't see Guns as a Tool for Protection instead or an Object of Affection,(like the love of your life), or are not Part of the World's Elitists, then you need to tune into the Republican Debates tonight.

Because it easier to know what you want, when you know what you don't want.

Here's a preview of what you can expect:

In America, we are all equal and we all started out at the same place in life. Therefore, the government should not help people when they are down and out by providing them with Food, Shelter, Education, Healthcare or any other Entitlements.

Decode: We need to take more money from the Sick, Poor, Disadvantaged, Uneducated,Elderly, Blacks and other Minorities, Children and Illegal Immigrants who live in Poverty, so that we can push more money up to the Richest and Most Powerful People and Corporations, ("The Job Creators"),in America and Around the World, so that it can trickle down to Average and Poor American Citizens.

We also need to send more money to the All Ready Over Inflated Military Budget, so that we can prepare for the next Unnecessary War with Iran, because that makes all of our wealthy buddies richer by increasing the need for Arms, Jets, Tanks, Gas, Bombs, Oil, Construction, Food, Uniforms and other items that are necessary while a war is in progress.

And because, our Positions of Power allow us to not have to send our Sons, Daughters, Fathers, Mothers, Brothers, Sisters, Nieces, Nephews, Uncles and Friends.

Note: Trickle Down Economics was a concept created by the Reagan Administration based on the Fallacy that Rich People are Rich because out of the goodness of their hearts, they have, and will continue to pass their wealth down to those who are less fortunate than themselves, because they care so deeply for them.

Since that time, and after the Clinton Administration years, (a Democratic); who Balanced the Budget and actually left America with a Surplus of Funds, which the Bush Administration, (a Republican), quickly turned into a Deficit, that continued until the Black Guy came along, and over an 8 year period against all types of Mean, Vicious, Hateful and Racists Attacks, still managed to not only pull the country out of its Financial, Social and Divisive Nose Dive, but actually raised the level of Job Creation and the Economy to heights that we as a nation had not experienced since the Clinton Years.

But you won't hear that tonight!

Because this is the Truth based on Facts that can be validated and verified.

That is something that Rightwing Conservatives in America have absolutely no interest in.

And why should they?

The audience that they are targeting has absolutely no interest in Truth or Facts either.

They are just mad as hell that America elected a Black Man in 2008 to be President of the United States of America.

It was a Tremendous Blow to the Illusion of White Supremacy.

However, they do believe in winning by any means necessary, especially by lying and talking about how bad the people who are at least, trying to do things to make the country better, instead of talking about what they are going to do to make the country better.

The first thing I would do as President is to Repeal Obamacare.

It is a "Job Killer" "It is making our Healthcare Cost Skyrocket", and it has now put the Government in Control of our American Healthcare System.

Decode: We are going to allow 16 + Million Poor and Middle Class Americans to lose their Healthcare and probably die as a result, because we don't want a Black Man to go down in history as the First President to achieve National Healthcare, which is something that so many presidents before him tried and failed. And instead of losing 8,000 jobs per month like we were doing under George W. Bush, since Obamacare was passed, Healthcare Cost have Significantly Decreased while Job Creation has Significantly Increased.

This President has made this country weak by apologizing for being an American and not selling American Exceptional-ism while traveling abroad and because he would rather use Diplomacy in his dealings with Iran and other countries instead of taking Military Action, which will save us from an Apocalyptic Nuclear War because of the deal that President Obama's Administration has brokered along with our allies from many other nations, (including countries in the region that are far closer to Iran than America), is not going to prevent Iran from having Nuclear Weapons.

Or you might remember them as "Weapons of Mass Destruction". We need to build a wall to keep illegal Immigrants from crossing our boarders.

The Government has to take care of them, they won't get a job, they are all Rapists,Criminals and Murderers.

This President's Policy on Immigration has failed our country.

Decode: There are already far too many People of Color here now, who mostly Vote Democratic, and we are already having a problem winning National Elections. If we allow anymore to come into this country and become citizens, we as a party will never be able to win anymore National Elections, which will make our party obsolete.

And to make a long story shorter:

President Obama has destroyed our country and made it weak, less secure, less productive and has destroyed our Economic Growth and Job Creation.

Hillary Clinton will destroy our country and make it weak, less secure, less productive and she will continue to destroy our Economic Growth and Jobs Creation.

Decode: No Non Black Man or Female is good enough, strong enough, smart enough or experienced enough to run this country.

America should always be run by Old White Men who are so full of themselves that they place themselves to far above the people that they took an oath to serve.

And as President, they are in a position to benefit themselves instead of the country because they will be in a position to do favors for their Rich and Powerful Friends, like Scott Walker and the Koch Brothers.

Oh! you say: so what about the Black Guy?.

You mean the Black Guy who is now attacking some of the very same programs, (like Affirmative Action), that his mom had to use to get his ass out of Trouble and out of the Ghetto to be where he is today,(like Judge Thomas)? What about him?

He's just like the rest of them who honestly believe that they are Super Humans who never got any help from anyone, anywhere, at anytime, (including help from GOD or the Government), because they pulled themselves up by their bootstraps all by their lonesome.

And one last point on a Largely Propagated Myth, Propagated by Donald Trump Himself: Donald Trump is not a "Rags to Riches Story", like he is running around claiming to be.

Scott Walker got so much Shit on his nose from kissing what he thought was David Koch's"s Ass during this conversation, that you should still see the stains as he speaks in an effort to try and make you believe that he is someone that he is not, in order to fool you into giving him your vote, so that he can win the White house; not to help you, but to help people who are just like the Koch Brothers.

Scott Walker, like the majority of current Republican Candidates, (and to be fair), some of the Democratic Candidates as well, are running for office for all the wrong reasons.

The President of the United States is supposed to be a "Public Servant of the People".

However, in reality, most people run for their own Selfish Purposes, and some people run to try and change things for the better for as many Americans as possible.

Our jobs as American Citizens is to determine who is who; not just by what they are saying now, but what they have said in the past and what they have done in the past and are doing now through our American Political System.

Kentucky Deputy Handcuffed Child With PTSD

Kentucky Sheriffs Deputy, Kevin Summer of Kenton County, handcuffed an 8 year old child who has PTSD, which means that the child has already been traumatized previously, and now he has been criminalized by the Kenton County Sheriff's Department because of his illness.

The Sheriff's Department says yes.

And they applaud the officer for handling the situation by the book.

This is a prime example of why people are now discussing the "School To Prison Pipeline" more and more, because that pipe line is becoming wider and wider every day.

In light of this incident coupled with the Murders of African American Men & Woman, and other Minority Members of America, who were already in custody or surrendering that have occurred on a National Basis at the hands of Law Enforcement Officers; it is clear to me that if all of this is being done "by the book", then it is up to us to Rewrite the Damn Book, because unless and until we do, this and other types of Excessive Force will be used by those who become "Law Enforcement Officers", who are really Hunters, Murderers and now Child Abusers, which are all the things that they are supposed to arrest regular Non Law Enforcement Citizens for.

Previously this same Deputy, restrained a 9 year old girl suffering from ADHD handcuffing her and taking her to a cruiser after the teacher asked him to escort her to another room.

He also handcuffed this same girl on another occasion.

Now I am not an expert on children suffering from all of these new diseases that I had never heard of as a child.

And I don't know what the correct procedures would be for Law Enforcement Officers to handle them.

As a matter of fact, I am not even sure if this is a task for a Regular Law Enforcement Officer to handle.

But I do know this: If you have handcuffs that you have to put on a child that go all the way up to his or her biceps, then obviously those handcuffs were not intended for 8 or 9 year old children. And apparently, there needs to be some serious discussions in this country about the amount of Authority that we have voluntarily given to Law Enforcement in this country,(especially when it comes to children), and people who are already in custody or surrendering.

People have been saying wishfully that "This has got to stop", before and after Trayvon Martin; failing to realize that nothing starts or stops in this country without the consistent action of the people who these Law Enforcement Officials as well as Politicians are supposed to be working for.

However, we let them flip the switch by allowing them to lull us to sleep with a sense of False Security.

And now they have convinced us that we are working for them.

But the realty is that these types of incidents will not stop until we come together as a country to stop them.

And it is so good to see that people of all races, ages, genders and classes are coming together to not only talk, but to take action to change these deplorable conditions that exist within the Law Enforcement Community, and within our Volatile and Hateful Political Environment.

Let's keep talking about it and being about it until it is done.
