John Legend: Way To Put It Down At The Oscars

In reference to the comments that John Legend made at this year's Oscars:

To the ignorant and uninformed all of these Black Incarcerations may appear to be based on just the personal actions of the individual, (and in many cases that is a fact).

However, there is a systematic Racist Structure that still exists in America, purposely sustained by the Rightwing Conservative Movement in America; that is designed to recreate slavery. And the Privatization of Penal Institutions is a major part of this institution; which locks up Black People for being Black while overlooking people with White Skin who commit the same or more severe crimes.

Example: Just as many White People smoke Marijuana as do Black People.

However, Black People are four times more likely to be arrested, prosecuted and jailed for possession of Marijuana.

Another example is George Zimmerman from the state of Florida, who hunted and killed Trayvon Martin; and who has escaped Murder Charges due to the "Stand Your Ground Laws", that exist in Florida.

George Zimmerman hunted down and killed this teenager after the police dispatcher told him not to follow him. And he has not been prosecuted by the state of Florida or by the Federal Department of Justice.

Note: Many White (and Black Conservatives), say that Trayvon should have followed George Zimmerman's demands.

This is because the White Conservatives want to continue to be Slave Masters and the Black Conservatives still want to be Slaves.

George Zimmerman was not authorized to order anybody to do anything.

He is not a Law Enforcement Officer or anyone with that kind of authority in that community.

But these kinds of people still want Blacks and other Minorities to answer to their demands because of the "White Supremacy Myth" and their "Slave Master" or "Slave" Mentalities.

News Flash! As much as many of these Conservatives still hate the facts and are still fighting the Civil War and do not want to move into the present. As hard as they may try to recreate it-Slavery is dead.

So George Zimmerman commits murder and is Free.

Whereas: Marissa Alexander, (who is also a resident of of Florida), is facing 20 years for firing a warning shot in the ceiling to try to discourage an abusive husband who has an arrest record for kicking this woman's ass filed with the police department where she lives.

What do these cases have in common?

Nothing! The White Skinned Man followed and killed a teenager who had nothing but a bottle of Arizona Ice Tea and a pack of Skittles in his hand, while walking back to his dad's house from the store.

But he is still Free.

But Ms. Alexander spent 2 years in jail for "Standing Her Ground", but did not kill or even injure anyone.

All she wanted was to be safe from harm.

And they just let her out of jail last year, but she is still facing 20 years because instead of her being Completely Free, she still has to stand trial for shooting the ceiling to try and protect herself from harm.

These and many other cases against African Americans and other Minorities are strictly based on punishing a person because of the way GOD made them.

And I challenge any person who has not been born Black and raised in America to disprove the fact that this Institutionalized Racism is still a reality in America today.

Unless and until you have walked a mile in our shoes, then your Racist Points of View are totally invalid.Which renders your opinion completely useless.
