Stand Your Ground-The New Excuse For Lynching Black People

Today is the 2 year anniversary of the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, a Florida Teen who was stalked, hunted and slaughtered like an animal, because Florida and several other Racists and Hateful States, (Code Name Red States), have what is known as "Stand Your Ground Laws"

Other states that have this law or some variation of this law are as follows:

Alabama

Arizona

Florida

Georgia

Indiana

Kentucky

Louisiana

Mississippi

Montana

Nevada

New Hampshire

Oklahoma

Pennsylvania

Tennessee

Texas

Utah

All you have to do is see someone Black, (I don't know if anyone is paying attention to the fact that thus far, all of the national cases that have been blasted across the airwaves by the media has involved the shooting of young Black Men), and then claim that you only killed them because they were in fear for your life or severe bodily harm.

Has Anyone Noticed This?

These states have "A Duty To Retreat Law", which is the law that most of us grew up knowing as, "Just Walk Away".

In these states you cannot just murder someone and then supply your own testimony that supports the fact that you "Thought" you were in fear of your life.

Now in the interest of full disclosure, I am not a Peace Sign Waiving, Unrealistic Liberal who is totally opposed to guns because I believe that people like Ted Nugent and Sarah Palin are going to give up their weapons in the name of love, or that I can stop a bullet with the love that's in my heart.

As a matter of fact, I think that Maryland State Law is on the other side of the extreme-If faced by a person who is an absolute threat to your life, because they may be coming towards you with a gun or a knife or are threatening bodily harm to you, your family or your property, Maryland Law only offers you 2 options: Let them kill you and or your family or go to prison for protecting yourself and them. In other words, Maryland has NO! Self Defense Law

And this too is a problem that needs to be addressed in Annapolis some day soon-I hope.

This is the opposite of the insanity of the Stand Your Ground Law, and can also be considered STUPID!

It should also be important to note that the Stand Your Ground Law does not work for Black People who are involve in similar situations: Case in point-Marissa Alexander of Jacksonville, Fla., received a 20-years prison sentence, Friday, May 11, 2012, for firing warning shots against her allegedly abusive husband. She just shot a hole in the ceiling. She killed no one. Here husband's abuse had been legally documented on several occassions, but yet the judged turned down her claim of Stand Your Ground and sentenced here to 20 years in prison for shooting a warning shot into the ceiling to discourage her violent husband from hurting or killing her.

John McNeil, 46, was convicted in November 2006 of the shooting death of a man who McNeil said had threatened his son and refused to leave his property. He was serving a life sentence at Macon State Prison for the crime, but for years, McNeil's wife, Anita, and his supporters, including the North Carolina chapter of the NAACP, spoke out for his release, saying he was wrongfully prosecuted because of his race. John McNeil is black. The man he shot, Brian Epp, was white.

He was finally released from prison after 6 years of incarceration this month. But not before he lost the woman who stood by him and gave her all to seek justice for her husband. She died days before he was released after succumbing to caner, which she had been suffering from the entire time that she was fighting to get her husband set free for protecting his home and family.

And let us not forget the Michael Dunn Murder Trial where a White Man Michael Dunn shot and killed 17 year old Jordan Davis at a gas station in Florida, because he didn't like the volume of the music which he was playing in his truck during daylight hours.

He shot at the vehicle 10 times and their were 3 other youths in the truck who miraculously were not killed.

However, Jordan Davis was struck 3 times and killed.

Dunn was convicted and is looking at facing the rest of his life in jail.

But not for the murder of Jordan Davis.

That charge hung the jury.

Michel Dunn is going to jail for shooting the truck that Davis and 3 other youths were in.

Hidden Message: This Black Child's life was worthless, but the truck was not.

Is there anyone who is reading this that does not recognize the fact that Jim Crow is alive and well and has changed his name to John Crow, Esquire, Congressman,Senator or Representative and has replaced the sheet and hood with a 3 piece suit?

And does anybody reading this think that these lynchings, which are too numerous to cover here fully are going to stop without a direct response from those of us who are opposed to these Racist, Hatred, and Murderous Actions?

I can assure you based on hundreds of years of American and World History that they will not!

It is up to us to stop them from destroying all of the progress that those before us fought and died for by the millions.

You know, I understand that the political environment is very toxic at this point in time.

And I know that maybe the glamour and glitter of the historical event of our lifetime, (an event that our fore parents, and there fore parents and even we, thought we would never live to see), has occurred and is probably no longer viewed as such a big deal.

But when I hear people talk about the president of the united States of America, (as a matter of fact), the First African American President in American History, (not world history because in many of the so called inferior nations, they have already had Female Presidents, and Presidents of Color; but here in the "Greatest Nation In The World" with all of its Freedom, Justice and Equality), I often wonder why we are still talking about the First Black, the First Asian, the First Latino, the First Mexican, the First Woman,the First Gay.

If Freedom , Justice and Equality were such a strong and reliable reality in our country, then there would no need for so many damn "Firsts". Because everybody would have already had an equal chance to share in the wealth and power of this nation and to become whomever and whatever they chose, worked hard for, and made sacrifices to become.

But these False American Values are not real people

Anyone with just a little bit of commons sense who is not blind mentally, physically or spiritually knows that this Justice, Freedom and Equality that is supposed to make us such a superior nation is no more than a big Damn Lie created by those who are actually experiencing the benefits of these "Look Good On Paper", virtues while at the same time oppressing the rights of others who they consider to be inferior products created by the GOD that they claim to believe in, love and worship so intensely because they know that he is divine and cannot make any mistakes.

However, in spite of this deep devotion and faith in GOD and Country, they still insist that only they are the creatures that GOD wanted to inherit the Earth, all of it's beauty and its abundance.

This is hypocrisy in the most intense and dangerous form.

So now that you have the background of what I'm about to say, enough about them.

The only reason that you would not know about all of the things that I was referring to is if you are allowing yourself to be overly distracted by technologies like Xbox, Play Station and the other gadgets and gizmos that are very good for amusing one;s self. But there is also another more sinister purpose for these technologies as well as all of the reality shows and the other intentional distractions placed in front of those who are not focused on reality, and that purpose is to make sure that you are not focused on the ugly realities that play themselves out everyday in this country, that this generation does not seem to care about or organize and respond to by utilizing our constitutional Right to Peaceful Assembly.

I want to talk about us, and by us I mean able bodied, young or healthy intelligent and talented African Americans who have been frighteningly quiet about the resurgence of the KKK Mentality that has infiltrated our American Political System, our Criminal Justice System, and all of the other Mainstream Institutions in our country with very little push back from this generation.

As a matter of fact, it is as if this generation is totally disconnected from the people and the history that brought us to where we are today and are totally ignoring the fact that these same forces that held us in bondage for over 400 years are still at play now, and have been recharged to extremely dangerous levels since the election and re election of our First African American President.

Here let me give you an example of the kinds of attacks that we have been far too quiet about against a man who was a community organizer, turned down a 7 figure income at an upscale law firm upon graduating law school, and made so many other sacrifices to become a person who has spent most of his life helping those who needed to be helped.

Guess What? He is still trying to do the very same thing now that he was trying to do as a Community Organizer, a United States Senator, and now President of the United States.

But for some reason, it seems like most of us have abandoned him and are totally ignoring the severe, dangerous and inhuman attacks that he and his family have been exposed to-And we have left him to do what he can to help all of us, (and by us I mean the majority of the people in the united states of America who are not Major Corporations,not Rich, Powerful or well connected all by himself).

Also notice that the person who is defending our president is one of the many "Fair Minded White People", who actually recognizes the fact that these kinds of Racist's, Hateful Attacks against the President of the United States of America because he has Black Skin with some White Skin mixed in is not only unfair and unsafe but he also recognizes that this is not acceptable as we discuss our political differences in this country.

Oh one more thing: Listen to this bastard apologize to Soldiers and Law Enforcement when he actually never served as either one, and actually wore a diaper for weeks that he would Piss and Shit in so that he could avoid defending the company that he claims to love so much, and as a side note, a country that he and many others clam to love so much but yet, they do not want to pay their fair share of taxes to keep the country that they love so much open and moving forward.

Why aren't we in the streets by the millions?

I feel very fortunate that my parents, grandparents and the parents and grand parents of others who I was fortunate enough to be raised around taught us about our history and how if we were not active participants in protecting the freedom that so many others were injured, raped, bombed, burned and lynched for; it would be taken away from us again

The bottom line is that FREEDOM came at a very high price for all of those who fought and died for it in the past, and it is still not free. Your knowledge, skills, abilities and activism is required to stop the onslaught of hatred that is prevalent in our society right now by a small but significant group of Hateful Racist's who are actually reaching their goals of turning back the clock of progress by taking away our right to vote, our right to have the same opportunities to care for, provide for and protect our families, friends and communities, and to be treated as a human being as I truly believe that the Creator intended.

It is time for us to organize and use the power that others died to give us to help all those that these people are attacking on a daily basis: The President, The Poor, Woman, Gays, The Sick, The Elderly, Immigrants and the Disadvantaged,

The reason that they are winning this fight and accomplishing their hateful agendas is because they are doing so with very little if any, opposition from us, And if this Apathy continues they will defeat us.

We cannot ignore their attempts to destroy this country, because they are not going to cease in their attempts to do so.

Enemies do not stop trying to hurt you because of the love that they suddenly discover in their hearts.

They only understand 2 things, Force and Power, both of which our ancestors worked so hard to give us

Please don't let their voices be the only voices that are being heard by the American People, because when some Hateful and Ignorant People only hear one side of a Hateful, corrupt and Greedy Message, they are easily recruited which increases their power

And one more thing: It's one thing to just talk the talk and not walk the walk.

Political Victory requires CASH and lots of it, so we just cannot keep opening just our mouths, we also have to contribute to the cause by opening our wallets and purses as well

The Koch Brothers, Donald Trump, Sheldon Adelson and many other Rich and Powerful Racist are trying to buy the United States Government and the world so that they can control it and create the world that they envision where only Rich People, Powerful People and White People matter, and where there is no Middle Class-just Rich People and Slaves

We are far too energetic, talented and powerful to just sit back on our asses and let this happen to us, after all the sacrifices that were made for us and all of the pain, suffering and death that those who came before us experienced so that we could have a much better life than they had.

We owe them, ourselves and our future generations a better country and a better world for all people.

Republicans Talking About Trust?

The very same people who have sit on their asses for over 5 years now doing very little to nothing in an attempt to destroy the First African American President and the country with him, who want to do away with Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid,

who want to cut billions from the Food Stamp Program that helps to provide food for some of the most vulnerable victims of poverty in our society-Children, who want to make major cuts to Military Personnel’s Retirement Benefits,

who do not care that our Bridges, Highways and Streets are in need of serous repairs, who complain about the deficit created by entitlement programs while funneling billions of dollars into the pockets of corporations who do not need the money,

who have repeatedly lied to the American People about their desire to get the American People back to work while destroying every plan that the President has proposed to do so-the same people who have voted to Repeal Obamacare almost 50 times which is a program actually providing millions of Americans

Healthcare for themselves and their families , many of whom could not have gotten healthcare without it, the same people who want to sell out our children by Privatizing Public Schools so that their buddies can benefit from the exploitation of our children for profit,

and now these same people want to sabotage Immigration Reform by starting another manufactured crises by creating the myth that they cannot trust the president to do the job that he has already been doing without their help, cooperation and assistance for 6 years now.

It is very hard for me to believe that the American People would swallow these continued attempts to cause the American People to lose confidence in the President’s Leadership Abilities for this nation.

In 2010 Democrats did not do what they needed to do in the local elections and in support of President Obama and his agenda for this country. And that failure on our part has caused so many serious and catastrophic damages to our Democracy including Voter’s Rights.

The only solution to these constant attacks on the President and the American People is to get rid of the bastards that are causing the damage.

And that can be done by Democrats who represent us refusing to be afraid to stand up for the President and Democratic Principals including healthcare.

And we can do our part by getting all hands on deck and doing whatever it takes to take the house back from Republicans this coming November, because they are not adequately representing you, me and all of the millions of Americans who still believe that Fairness, Justice and Equality for all Americans is the American Way.

Jay you have been coming into our homes every night since 1992, and you brought me so much joy laughter and happiness every time I tuned into your show.

Even in times when I had no one to talk to or was lonely or depressed, your monologue always made me smile and feel at least, just a little bit better.

And I particularly loved your Political Satire, which was always accurate, timely and funny.

You have followed in the foot steps of so many great man who held down The Tonight Show from Steve Allen (1954–57), Jack Paar (1957–62), Johnny Carson (1962–92), Jay Leno (1992–2009, 2010–14), and Conan O'Brien (2009–10).

After years of watching the master, Johnny Carson, I did not know if I could get used to anyone else after him, but within the first week of giving you a chance, I knew you were the one who was meant to succeed the great Johnny Carson.

So now even though I won't be able to see you every night on TV, I am so glad that you are going out on top and that you will live in the hearts and minds of the millions of fans who faithfully followed and supported you throughout the years forever, just like the geniuses who preceded you.

And just like I felt about you when you first came on the scene, I think that Jimmy Fallon is the perfect choice of the new generation comics to follow you.

This Republican Bullying Is Nothing New........

On October 27, 2010, A Rand Paul Supporter Stomps On The Head Of Lauren Valle A Member Of The Progressive Move On.Org Movement While At A Rand Paul Debate.

Rand Paul is now a U.S. Senator for Kentucky who is being considered by the Republican Party for a run at the Presidency of the United States of America.

Now I can hear all of you Right Wingers saying, well what did he have to do with that? The answer is nothing! But this incident and many other incidents involving members of the Republican Party indicate the types of people that are attracted to these Republican Party Leaders, and the type of negative environment that is becoming more and more acceptable and normal in our politics.

So the question is: Do we really want people who attract people like these to their events and to the voting booth to be in charge of this country.

This can be very dangerous and detrimental to our society. Because in spite of the fact that people on the Right believe they can do anything to anyone in anyway without retribution; this is just another example of their ignorance and stupidity, because it is completely against Human Nature to just lay down and die when under attack. So these types of attitudes coming from the Left or the Right can create an enormous explosion of hatred and violence.

On March 20, 2010, several members of the Congressional Black Caucus were reportedly attacked and Congressman Cleaver was spit on and bombarded with Racial Epithets.

These protesters were following the Republican Playbook that has attempted to destroy President Obama's Signature Legislation, the Affordable Care Act, (a law that has provided health insurance for millions of Americans who previously did not even qualify for health insurance due to preexisting conditions, insufficient income or because their jobs just did not provide coverage for them; to finally have the safety and security of knowing that they and their families are covered in case of illness or an accident.

And of course, this bullying is definitely nothing new for Governor Phony Soprano, (Chris Christie) when someone asks him any type of question that threatens to expose the true nature of his Republican Right Wing Agenda.

And now we have Congressman Michael Grimm who wants to throw a reporter off of the balcony of the Capitol or break him in half like a boy, because he does not want to answer questions about the Election Finance Scandal that he is currently stuck in the middle of in New York.

On January 28, 2014, just minutes after the State of the Union Address, Congressman Michael Grimm threatened to throw a reporter off of the balcony of the Capital Building and to break him in half like a boy,(whatever that means,weird!).

I wonder if he realizes that his behavior towards this reporter is almost a sure fire indication of his guilt.

And the point to all of this is: Those who do not wish for America to be the kind of country where people are bullied by their elected leaders which of course will lead to Americans bullying back to defend themselves and their interests, which could potentially lead to some very serious and dangerous violence in our country that has not been seen since the 60's.

If this is not the kind of America that you want yourself and your family to live in,(and believe me I know because I was there), then it is incumbent upon you, me and all those who do not want to see our country go up in flames to first of all, pay attention to the leaders that Republicans are trying to place in charge of our country and then do what is necessary to prevent them from taking control of our country.

Because no one just laid down and died 500 years ago under such inhumane and demonic treatment of human beings, and nobody is going to do that now.
